This is a piece I cut for the ESP Guitar app that featured Jeff Hanneman and his guitar tech Warren Lee. I am pretty sure this was his last tour and it was also a huge moment for my son Eric as I took him backstage and he got to play Jeff’s guitar. It’s absolutely horrible that he’s gone. RIP.

Jafet is most known for Directing 'Waking Up Dead'. The hard-hitting documentary exposes the true story of sex, drugs and rock n’ roll by highlighting drummer Phil Varone's (Saigon Kick/Ex-Skid Row) quest for rock stardom, which ended in heartbreak and near death. The film took a heavy toll on his personal life and led to near financial destruction. He never compromised his artistic integrity and has been hailed as "must see for all aspiring musicians" It was featured in several prominent film festivals and played in select theaters in NYC, LA & Ft. Lauderdale. It’s still available today on DVD worldwide.

(Ozzy), Before Braille, The Toadies, Thrown Into Exile, Temple Of Brutality and many more. He cut 2009’s #1 video on YouTube Pitbull's 'I Know You Want Me', which has over 211 million views, he scripted the narrative, directing the Jersey Shore Cast for the MTV VMA nominated video, Enrique Iglesias/Pitbull's 'I Like It'. He was the In-House Director for Aezra/EMI trusted with their entire artist roster and traveled with them to festivals such as SXSW and CMJ and shot them from L.A to London, directing & producing EPK's and Music Videos. Some of their artists included: Before Braille, The Toadies, John Price, Caviar, Deep Blue Something, Magna-Fi, Billy Miles and others.

Producing highlights include; Executive Producer/Head Writer for The Source Awards Pre-Show on UPN, Executive Producer/Creator for the Emmy Award-Winning show 'Viewfinders' for CBS Miami (WFOR), Producer for The Latin Grammys Pre-Show on CBS, Producer/Editor for the Emmy Award-Winning Documentary 'Assignment Afghanistan' for CBS Miami (WFOR), Director/Producer for Skid Row's DVD titled 'Under The Skin' which received world-wide distribution, Director/Producer for the critically acclaimed cult hit Documentary, 'Waking Up Dead' which also received global distribution and is still available today, dozens of EPK's for various artists & labels and several Reality Show Pilots/Sizzle Reels for many clients including NBC. He also created ESP Guitars iPhone App, shot print ads for Junker Designs and edited Award-Winning docs; 'Fatboy' and 'Facing The Habit.'

Prior to Entertainment, Jafet spent over a dozen years criss-crossing the globe as an Award-Winning Journalist in Broadcast News covering tragedies, wars, crime and natural disasters. During that time he won 9 Emmy Awards (13 nominations), the prestigious Green Eye Shade Award and covered some of the biggest stories of his time such as; The OJ Simpson Trial, Multiple Undercover Assignments to Cuba, stories from the Middle East, Australia, Mexico, Bahamas, covered the Yitzhak Rabin Assassination in Israel, the Oklahoma City Bombing, 1996 Olympics, the Gianni Versace Murder, Afghanistan War, 911 and many more. He’s held management posts as EP of Special Projects & News Programming and Chief Photographer. He's worked at CBS News, Newspath, WSVN, CBS and NBC stations in Miami & NYC. While at CBS Miami, he created the show 'Viewfinders'' which generated over 50 + Emmys over a 3 year period for his staff. He was the first manager to bring Final Cut Pro (V3) to Broadcast News and went on to consult for Apple on FCP 4. In addition he has over 300 hours of helicopter flight time operating the Flir and Wescam camera systems.

Jafet proudly wears 'Hardwear' by Junker Designs. In his spare time coaches Pop Warner Football and moonlights as a guest speaker at Universities inspiring future filmmakers.
